With everybody analyzing fall fashion trends coming down the runways this month, did anybody take time to look at the trends on the fashionistas roaming the streets? Did anybody else notice the I'll-wear-my-coat-over-my-shoulders trend à la Grace Kelly/Jackie O/Audrey Hepburn? I wouldn't have given this cute look a second thought if they weren't doing this in New York where it was absolutely, bone-chilling, freezing cold. Props and respect for fighting the frostbite ladies.

{Shades of...Viktor & Rolf}

It's been a revolving door of beautiful people at the Viktor & Rolf flagship store in Paris this week. Maybe they were drawn to the chic, noise-reducing, felt fabric interior? (Or maybe it was the free fashion week clothes...) Designed by Architecture & Associés, the whole entire store is furnished in grey felt. Check out Miroslava Duma's video below for a tour...I especially LOVE the grey felt floral arrangement.

Jezebel posted this fun little poster illustrating every gown worn by Best Actress winners. A lot of them have been listed with designers "unknown", but I know Joanne Woodward's gown from 1958 was sewn by the actress herself! The infographic was created by Mediarun Digital and isn't for sale, but hopefully will be soon due to popular demand from fashionistas and film fans alike.

Chonayqang'a'? (that's "Will you marry me?" in Klingon). If you're any kind of Star Trek fan, your eyes already got excited looking at the pictures in the post. (If you don't like Star Trek then this will be boring for you.) I found this supercute ring in the shape of the starship Enterprise via George Takei on Facebook. It's made by Paul Michael Jewelry and is available on his Etsy shop. 

Equally amusing is Paul Michael's Bounty Hunter Han Solo ring. These would be perfect with the gowns from Rodarte's F14 collection. Over the top? Never!

{Konjac, your beauty routine's new BFF}

Kon...what?! Konjac. It's a popular facial sponge from Japan that's making it's way over to North America. Made from konjac root (an edible vegetable), it's supposed to gently exfoliate and rebalance your skin's pH. I stumbled upon it quite by accident at Shoppers Drug Mart while looking for an alternative to my microbead cream cleanser (I recently learned microbeads harm the environment) and holy cow wouldn't you know this thing is biodegradable! I've been using it for a week now and although my t-zone is still a bit flaky (hey we're in the middle of a rough winter) my face overall feels like a baby's bum. It feels very pleasant to use and I like how it exfoliates your skin without feeling harsh. Because it's so gentle it'll take about 3-4 days before you see results. The key is to massage your face gently and not rush through your cleansing routine. 

I love this sponge. I'm going to marry it. Seriously.
